Patrick Hoffmann is Head of Social Impact at Generali Deutschland, one of Germany’s largest insurance firms. In this role, he oversees the company's philanthropy in the two focus areas of early childhood development and refugee integration. At the same time, he is also driving social innovations in Generali's insurance and asset management business. Previously, Patrick set up Generali Group’s global foundation, The Human Safety Net, which is active in more than 20 countries worldwide.
Patrick is a Board Member at the global social enterprise Parenting for Lifelong Health and sits on the Advisory Board of the Welcome Alliance Fund, as well as being a member of the German government's Task Force on Financing Social Innovation.
Before his time at Generali, Patrick worked in the non-profit sector in Tanzania and Myanmar. He is a Churchill Next-Generation Leadership Fellow and holds a BA in History and an MPhil in African Studies from the University of Cambridge.
