Camila Pereira is a social impact leader with fifteen years of experience in the philanthropic sector. At the Lemann Foundation, a prominent Brazilian nonprofit, Camila served as Chief Impact Officer, overseeing the Foundation’s strategies to guarantee high-quality education for all children and to support leaders who tackle our most pressing challenges. While working locally in Brazil, Camila had the chance to establish close professional partnerships with outstanding global organizations, such as Ivy League universities, multilateral institutions, government agencies and innovative startups. She sits on the boards of social impact initiatives such as B3 Social and Instituto Articule. She has also been in the Advisory Board of UNESCO’s Global Education Monitoring Report. She takes great pleasure in mentoring women and young talents in programs like Columbia Women's Leadership Network in Brazil, Global Teen Leaders, and Ensina Brasil. Camila holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, where she studied Reforms in Public Education. She worked as a reporter and editor for four years, writing about politics and education. Currently on a brief sabbatical, she explores innovative avenues to continue her mission of reducing inequalities in Brazil and the Global South.
