As the Head of Philanthropy & Family Governance Advisory at Neuberger Berman, Julia Chu guides clients in through all phases of their philanthropy journey, from distilling mission, to refining strategy, to extending legacy across generations. She has also guided non-profit institutions in mission communication, board governance, and marshalling resources.
As a recognized thought leader, Julia lectured widely in the arenas of philanthropy and family governance, and authored articles for Trusts and Estates magazine and the Leimberg Estate Planning Newsletter. She has lectured for a master’s level course at New York University’s Heyman Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising.
Active in art and the non-profit sector, Julia currently chairs the Audit Committee of the Brooklyn Arts Council board and evaluated fellowship candidates for the social entrepreneurship organization Echoing Green.
