Ngware is a Senior Research Scientist, and Heads the Education and Youth Empowerment as well as the Human Development research work at the African Population and Health Research Center. With more than 25 years of research experience, he has led over 20 studies in sub-Saharan Africa that have informed education and training policies. He has a wealth of experience in experimental and quasi-experimental research designs, quantitative research methods, and classroom/teaching observations. He has written more than 100 publications including peer-reviewed journal articles and working papers. In 2020, Ngware was awarded the Accomplished Educational Researcher Award by the Association for the Development of Education in Africa. He has a PhD in Economics of Education from Egerton University, Kenya.
