Mwesi is a clinical medicine and community health expert with experience working in medical facilities, civil society, and private sector. He is passionate about improving health outcomes of mothers, children and youth including strengthening systems and influencing implementation policies.
He is the founder and Director of Operations at Universal Health and Development Foundation (UHDF), an organization working to improve the health and wellbeing of children, youths and women in Uganda. He serves on boards of national, regional and international organizations including Partnership for Maternal Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH) in Switzerland as the secretary to PECC committee.
