Safia Tmiri is currently a senior advisor, focusing her work on human capital development in the public, private and social sectors.
Prior to that, she was an associate partner with McKinsey and company where she co-led the Firm’s regional efforts for social impact - with a specific focus on improving education outcomes and livelihood for refugees in the Middle East.
Safia has over 14 years experience in investment advisory at the Millennium Finance Corporation, Standard Chartered Bank in Dubai and the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) in Istanbul and Washington, DC.
Safia has also worked as a consultant with the Clinton Foundation in New York on designing public-private partnerships towards better education and employment outcomes in the Middle East. Safia graduated from Harvard Kennedy School of Government and currently serves as board member of the Aljeel network and Harvard African Alumni network. She also holds an Msc. in strategy and finance from ESSEC business school.
She is also a World Economic Forum global shaper and was named a 2014 Emerging Leader by the German Marshall Fund.
