Dr. Zahra Hoodbhoy is a physician trained at The Aga Khan University (AKU), Karachi, Pakistan. She then pursued her Masters in Health Education from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA and completed her PhD (Population and Public Health) program at AKU in 2022. After working in US and Singapore, she returned back to AKU in 2014 and is currently employed as an Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health, AKU. She has been involved in public health research for nearly a decade with experience in implementing hospital and community based projects which includes designing and conducting research projects, collaborating with local and international researchers, and producing several peer-reviewed publications from these. Her research interest revolves around use of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve maternal and child health indicators in low resource settings
